My Favorite Batman Panel

My new favorite Batman panel, from Batman & the Monster Men #5 by Matt Wagner:
For those of you who can’t see it, it’s Bruce Wayne holding an unconscious Julie Madison in his arms as Alfred looks on. Bruce says, “She was on the verge of a breakdown. And, unfortunately, there’s a situation that demands Batman’s attention.” Alfred responds, “And so, in keeping with conventional wisdom, you’ve chosen to secretly drug your girlfriend.”
Where else but in comics do you get that kind of dialogue, or that kind of decision-making, even?

Wow. Usually you see that kind of thing in older comics, see the times were Superboy made an apple fall to knock Lana unconscious, but in a modern comic that is weird.
Is the “Bruce Wayne, date rapist?” followup storyline coming soon?

Alfred’s response reminds me of a panel in a Batman Adventures comic where Alfred asks Bruce-as-Batman, “How’s the sleep deprivation coming along, sir?”
It’s not as creepy as this one, though.
